CertFinch is an early-stage project testing whether online sellers want a Shopify app for CPSC certificates and eFiling IDs. Signing up puts you on the early-access list; there is no app to install yet and nothing is charged. This page explains what we collect.
What we collect
- Your answers to the rule finder (product category, age group, where it's made, sales channels). These run in your browser. We only receive them if you submit the sign-up form.
- Sign-up form: your email address, whether you sell on Shopify, whether you import products yourself, roughly how many SKUs you sell, your answer to the price question (Yes / Maybe / No) and the price you were shown, and how you reached the site (for example an ad campaign name).
- Analytics: we may use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking to count visits, completed checks and sign-ups. These tools may set cookies. You can block them with your browser's settings or an ad blocker; the tool still works.
How we use it
To email you the templates, send early-access news about the CertFinch Shopify app and occasional updates about CPSC certificate rules, and to decide whether to build the app and at what price. Your price answer is not a commitment to buy. We don't sell your information. You can unsubscribe from any email, or ask us to delete your data, by replying to any message we send or emailing shelfcheck.app@gmail.com.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored with our form provider. Analytics data is processed by Google.
